Continuing our collaborations, Paul Madonna and I set this three-part illustrated mystery in a slip case to fulfill Paul’s vision, that these should have just enough of a pulp-fiction feel that it brings home the mood of the story, but also carries some sort of permanence as a collection of artworks that live on the bookshelf. Therefore, three paperbacks in a slipcase that can be individually—with their own complete title on the cover—taken out and carried about in a purse or backpack, yet, when they come together again, they read as a complete unit with the title seamed together on the exposed spine.
